A morning at the bakery
At the bakery counter, two customers look at the morning selection. Maria shows them some sourdough loaves, baguettes and almond croissants. The first customer asks, “Do you have any fruit tarts?” Maria checks the display and replies, “We do not have any fruit tarts left. They are sold out.” The customer still wants a pastry, so Maria suggests an alternative.
“Would you like some almond croissants instead?” she asks. She describes their flaky texture and almond filling. The customer chooses two. The second customer asks, “Do you have any sourdough bread?” Maria replies, “Yes, we have some freshly baked loaves.” She describes the crisp crust and soft crumb to help him choose. He orders one loaf and declines an extra baguette.
Before preparing the order, Maria repeats the products and quantities. Both customers confirm. Tom, the trainee, notices that she explains what is available, describes the products and checks each choice. When a product is sold out, she offers another product and gives the customer time to decide.
